How the difference is measured
The calculator finds the calendar gap between the two dates and expresses it two ways: as a years, months and days breakdown, and as a single total number of days. The order of the dates does not matter — the result is always positive.
Inclusive counting
Tick Include both start and end days when you want to count both endpoints — useful for things like leave days or event durations, where a Monday-to-Friday span counts as 5 days rather than 4.
