Temperature Converter

Convert temperatures between Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin instantly.

1 °C equals

33.8 °F

How it works

Enter a temperature and choose your scales. Unlike length or weight, where you multiply by a fixed factor, temperature scales have different zero points, so conversion uses offset formulas rather than a simple ratio. That is why this tool fully supports negative values and why 0°C is not 0°F.

The formulas

  • Celsius to Fahrenheit: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32
  • Fahrenheit to Celsius: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9
  • Celsius to Kelvin: K = °C + 273.15

Reference points

  • Water freezes: 0°C = 32°F = 273.15 K
  • Room temperature: about 20–25°C = 68–77°F
  • Body temperature: 37°C = 98.6°F
  • Water boils (sea level): 100°C = 212°F = 373.15 K
  • Absolute zero: −273.15°C = −459.67°F = 0 K

Where it helps

Handy for following recipes written for a different oven scale, reading weather forecasts from another country, or converting lab and science values. For other units, browse all unit converters or jump to the weight converter and length converter.

Câu hỏi thường gặp

Yes. Negative values are fully supported for Celsius and Fahrenheit, which matters because the scales have different zero points.
