The typing tools help you measure and improve how fast and accurately you type. A typing test reports your words-per-minute and accuracy, giving you a clear benchmark you can work to beat over time.
Regular practice builds muscle memory, so short sessions are more effective than occasional long ones. Everything runs in your browser with no account, so you can jump straight into a test whenever you have a few minutes.
How to use these tools
- Choose English or Nepali, then start with a short typing test to see your current speed and accuracy.
- Sit with a straight back and rest your fingers on the home row keys as your starting position.
- Type the shown text without looking at the keyboard, focusing on accuracy before speed.

Good to know
How WPM is measured
Words per minute counts a "word" as five characters, so speed is comparable regardless of how long the actual words are. Your score combines how many characters you typed with how long you took, and is reported alongside an accuracy percentage.
Accuracy before speed
Fixing mistakes costs more time than typing carefully in the first place, so accuracy is the faster route to a higher effective speed. Aim to keep accuracy high and let speed rise naturally as your fingers learn the layout.
Typing in Nepali
Nepali can be typed with a Unicode keyboard layout or with romanized input that converts English spelling into Devanagari. The Unicode approach works everywhere and is the modern standard; our guides explain how to choose and practise each one.

Frequently asked questions
- How is typing speed measured?
- Speed is shown in words per minute (WPM), where a word is standardised to five characters, alongside your accuracy percentage.
- What is a good typing speed?
- Around 40 WPM is a solid everyday speed, 60 to 70 WPM is fast, and professional typists often exceed 80 WPM.
- How can I type faster?
- Practise regularly in short sessions, keep your fingers on the home row and focus on accuracy first — speed follows naturally.
- Should I focus on speed or accuracy first?
- Accuracy first. Correcting errors wastes more time than typing carefully, so clean typing raises your real speed faster than rushing.
